The 9MM XD® Mod.2® Threaded Service Model is perfectly proportioned for silenced use. It’s big enough to host a suppressor, yet compact enough to keep overall handling characteristics just right. The ½”x28 threading accepts 9mm and larger silencers. A thread protector cap is included to protect barrel threading when shooting unsuppressed.

The new XD® Mod.2® Threaded Service Model includes extra tall suppressor sights to ensure visibility over most standard suppressor bodies. The steel three-dot sights are finely serrated on the shooter-facing sides to minimize glare and provide a crisp sight picture. The front sight rises .365-inches above the top of the slide for unobstructed sight picture visibility.

All of the same great XD® Mod.2® features remain. The High-Hand™ cutouts on the back of the grip and behind the trigger allow shooters to put support near the bore line to minimize muzzle flip. Carefully shaped thumb depressions provide maximum hand-to-frame contact. The result is a handgun that is managed by the shooter – not the other way around.

Like the standard model, the threaded option packs big ammunition capacity of 16+1 rounds of 9mm. The Service model frame is large enough for a full two-handed grip, yet the profile is hardly wider than many single-stack pistols.

The new Grip Zone® contours and texturing are specifically designed to provide maximum purchase at specific points where hands and fingers require the most contact. Three different textures provide the grip surface needed without irritating overkill. It’s all about using the perfect material, in exactly the right place, to achieve the desired result.
