Ken drew upon decades of practical experience and his vast collection of custom handguns to develop the “Hackathorn Special.” This model is geared towards the needs of the serious defensive shooter. It is a unique combination of time-tested best features like full-size slide and frame, one piece Bullet Proof® magwell, concealment hammer/grip safety, and the versatile medium-length trigger. Each pistol will have Ken’s signature and logo on the slide.
Since this pistol is well equipped with Ken’s preferred custom options, the only allowable upgrades are ambidextrous safety, choice of front sight and deluxe hand-polish blued finish.
Ken Hackathorn has served as a US Army Special Forces Small Arms Instructor, Gunsite Head Instructor and NRA Police Firearms Instructor. He is currently an FBI Certified Firearms Instructor, Certified Deputy Sheriff, an SRT member and Special Response Team trainer. Ken has trained the highest levels of US Military Special Operations forces and Marine special units, and has been a contract small arms trainer to FBI, SWAT and HRT. He has been a firearms and tactical training advisor to special agencies all over the world.
