Carry Comp®

In the 1980s, Wilson Combat’s® ACCU-COMP was used to win virtually every major practical pistol competition. It was a phenomenally accurate pistol with the reliability and accuracy serious competition demanded. Using that same technology to minimize recoil and muzzle flip, Wilson Combat® developed the Carry Comp model, dramatically improving weapon control while adding minimal bulk and weight, resulting in a carry pistol that has no equals. The Carry Comp utilizes a 4 ½” overall length match grade barrel, including a ½” muzzle extension that houses the meticulously engineered compensation port.

The Wilson Combat Carry Comp is essentially a Commander-sized pistol  with some variations due to the compensator. According to measurements, the dimensions are 8.13" (206mm) long and 5.25" (133mm) high, with a weight of 32 ounces (910 g) including an empty magazine. The difference is primarily in the barrel  and in how much of the barrel is "barrel" and how much is compensator.Combine that with the presence of the copious compensator port on the top, and the inescapable conclusion is that the effective length of the barrel is actually 3 7/8" (3.88" or 98mm). This is slightly shorter than a true Commander, which has a 4 1/4" barrel.
