The Beretta 92 series are semi-automatic weapons designed for military use, adopted by many police forces and armies as a result of the excellent results obtained with respect to the most qualified global competition.
The reliability and safety of use, the increased length of the fire and the high precision shooting characterizing the basic versions were transferred verbatim versions 98 cal. 9 mm x21 IMI and models 96 cal. .40 S & W. In recent times the number 92 has been enhanced with special models including some designed specifically to meet the needs of the Police Corps.
